Teaching Japanese

Generally

Following from my 25 years worth of teaching experience at university level, I prefer individual teaching in courses of very small groups, up to three students. Contents of the course and the frequency of lessons can be tailored to meet the students' needs.

I usually use the Minna no Nihongo textbook but I can offer other textbooks too (Genki, Japanese for Young People a.o.). Student's own textbook may be acceptable in some cases (depending on the book of choice). Lessons can be conducted in English.

I can teach all main skills - writing system, reading, conversation, from beginners to the advanced level, from N4 to N1 (in the 能力試験 hierarchy). The feature of my lessons is that I focus on active mastering of the grammar and grammatic patterns, in other words I try to make the student speak from the very beginning, depending on his/her abilities, of course.

Time and place

I offer 60-minute or 90-minute lessons, once or twice a week in a location near the Prague city centre. I can be flexible about time and place, provided the location is near the city centre. Morning lessons are also possible on some days.

Individual students may start whenever they wish, group students are advised to start in October or mid February. However, if all in the group agree, you can start whenever you wish.

Price

Payment is welcome one month in advance.

The price does not include teaching materials. Either you have your own textbook, or you'll be fine with copies or we make another arrangement.

		Minna II Yomeru Topikku 25 – obsahuje ucelenější texty na rozvíjení schopnosti číst a chápat, vhodná i na procvičování konverzace a gramatiky, doplňuje Minna Shokyu II
		Chukyu kara manabu – učebnice pro středně pokročilé, na textech se dobře procvičuje gramatika, student již tvoří aktivní věty
